  • Platform Limitations: Visla is not affiliated with YouTube or other video platforms, we cannot prevent third-party copyright claims against your content on these platforms.

  • Resolving Strikes: Receiving a copyright strike does not necessarily indicate a violation. Many strikes are easily resolvable, especially if you provide us with the necessary information to assist you.

  • Our Support: We are here to help you navigate through the process of resolving these claims. By working together and sharing the required details, we can often quickly address and resolve these issues.

Responding to a Copyright Strike on YouTube

Steps to Take if You Receive a Copyright Claim

  1. Notify Visla: Contact our Support Team immediately if you receive a copyright claim on YouTube for a video created with Visla.

  2. Provide Essential Information: To assist you in disputing the claim, please provide us with the following details:

    • YouTube(or Platform) Channel ID: Your specific channel identification number.

    • User ID: Your user ID, usually found in account settings, not always the same as a display name.

    • Disputer Name: Your legal name as it appears in relation to your YouTube account.

    • Disputed URL: The full URL of the flagged video (should start with 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?').

    • Disputer Email: The email address associated with your YouTube channel.

    • Claimant Name: The name of the entity or individual who initiated the copyright claim (e.g., HAAWK).

    • Project UUID: The unique Visla project ID(s) for the content that was flagged (found in the URL when viewing your project in Visla 'https://app.visla.us/project/editing/1172002799983xxxxxx').

After You've Submitted Your Information

Once we have received the above information, we will do our utmost to support you in resolving the claim. However, please be aware that the final decision rests with YouTube, and content may be blocked by the platform for reasons that are beyond our control.
