What Happens to Your Credits When You Switch Plans
When you switch your VIsla subscription to a different plan, your current subscription is canceled and any remaining credits are converted into Flexible Credits based on the new plan tier.
Important: Switching plans does not issue a prorated refund
Switching plans is not a refund event.
If you downgrade or change billing cycles (for example, from annual to monthly):
Your existing subscription ends
No prorated cash refund is issued
Remaining plan value is converted into Flexible Credits
Those credits are added to your account under the new plan’s credit tier
Example: Annual Business → Monthly Pro
Let’s say you have:
Annual Business plan
$948 per year
40,000 credits per month
And you switch to:
Monthly Pro plan
$18 per month
5,000 credits per month
What happens:
Your annual Business subscription is canceled
You do not receive a prorated refund (for example, ~$930 back to your card)
Your remaining Business credits are converted into Flexible Credits
Those Flexible Credits are added to your account and usable under the Pro plan
Your new Pro plan billing begins on the next Pro billing date
In other words: value is preserved as credits, not refunded as cash.
Switching back to a previous plan
If you later decide to switch back (for example, from Pro back to Business):
You must resubscribe to that plan
You will be charged the full price for the new subscription
Previously canceled subscriptions do not resume automatically
Any Flexible Credits already in your account remain available
Why Visla does it this way
Credit usage represents real infrastructure and licensing costs
Flexible Credits ensure you don’t lose value when switching plans
This approach keeps billing predictable and transparent across plans
Things to double-check before switching
Before confirming a plan change, we recommend reviewing:
Your current plan type (monthly vs annual)
Your remaining credits
Your next billing date
The credit limits of the new plan
Once a plan change is confirmed, it can’t be undone automatically.
By following these steps, you can easily switch your subscription plan to better suit your needs.
