How to Merge Clips in Visla

This article guides users on how to merge two or more clips in Visla in order to create a new clip.

Overview

Whether you want to create a longer video from two existing clips, or add a personalized introduction to a product video, Visla makes it easy with the Merge feature!

Merging your clips.

  1. First, head to the clips section of the Workspace your clips library is located.

  2. Next, check the box on the upper right of a clip thumbnail to select the first clip you want to merge.

  3. You can now add one or many more clips to your selection, to be added to the final clip you are creating.

4. You will now see the Merge button become available for you to click on it.

5. This will take you to the project view, where you can apply some adjustments:

  • Add more clips

  • Input the title of your new clip

  • Drag the clips around to define the order of your scenes

  • See the new clip duration.

    • Note: the maximum length of a new merged clip is of one hour.


6. When you are done with editing, click on the Merge Clips button.

7. Your new clip will appear in your clips library and once it is done processing, you'll be able to open it to view the result.

Pro tip:

When wanting to merge clips, you can also simply click on the 3-dot menu of a clip, and select Merge. This will take you directly to the editing window, where you can select other clips you want to add to your project.
