Overview
Learn to navigate and understand Workspaces and Teamspaces in Visla. This support page will help you differentiate between a Workspace, Teamspace, and My Space, ensuring you make the most out of Visla’s collaborative features.
Workspace
A Visla Workspace is like your team's digital office building: a space where your teams can work together on video projects in Teamspaces. Here, teams can organize their projects, manage access, and streamline their collaborative efforts.
In the Workspace menu you can:
Invite Members: Add colleagues and collaborators to your Workspace. You can assign roles and permissions to manage access to various projects.
Manage your Workspace Settings (owners only): Owners can customize the Workspace settings, including permissions, branding(not sure about this one notifications-feel free to remove), and notifications.
Visit your Dashboard: The dashboard provides an overview of all active projects, recent activities, and important updates within the Workspace.
Join a Teamspace: Access different Teamspaces you are part of, or explore new ones to join based on your role and projects.
Create a Teamspace: Set up new Teamspaces for specific projects or teams, defining the scope and members for focused collaboration.
My Space
This is your personal video creation desk within any Workspace. No one else but you can see and edit the projects and clips in this space. It’s a private area where you can develop ideas, create drafts, and experiment without external input.
Key features of My Space:
Privacy: Only you have access to the content, ensuring a secure and personal workspace.
Flexibility: Use My Space to brainstorm, create rough drafts, or store personal projects.
Integration: Easily move projects from My Space to a Teamspace when ready for collaboration.
Teamspace
Visla Teamspaces are your hubs for seamless collaboration. Teams can share footage, create, edit, and approve videos in a centralized space. Every Workspace includes at least one Teamspace for everyone to connect.
In the Teamspace menu you can:
Invite members: Add team members to the Teamspace, allowing them to contribute to projects.
Manage the Teamspace settings (owners only): Owners can customize settings specific to the Teamspace, including member roles, project permissions, and communication preferences.
Leave the Teamspace (non-owners only): If you’re no longer involved in a project, you can leave the Teamspace to focus on other tasks.
Benefits of Teamspaces:
Centralized Collaboration: All project-related activities and communications happen in one place, making it easier to stay organized.
Shared Resources: Team members can access shared footage, assets, and tools to streamline the video creation process.
Real-Time Collaboration: Work together on video projects in real-time, with features like live editing, commenting, and version control.
